We are currently compiling the history of the Australian furniture industry in all states.

The FIAA is keen to produce a concise but accurate history that will be useful to the industry and can be an educational resource.

If you have any information that would be of assistance it would be most appreciated.

We are looking for the following information:

• Details on designers and manufacturers from 1788 to the present day
• Location, name of the business/owners/number of employees and date of operation
• Styles of furniture produced
• Awards won by manufacturers
• Specialist craftspeople
• High people in specialist commissions

The information on the Rosenstengel business in Brisbane (on the furniture history page) is the length and type of research we require.
